Fleetview’s Very Own Eden O’Dea Represents Great Britain in Mountain Running Championships

At Fleetview, we pride ourselves on going the extra mile, and in Eden’s case, quite literally, up the extra mountain.
We’re incredibly proud to share that Eden O’Dea, part of our Fleetview family and a valued member of the team, recently represented Great Britain at the World Mountain and Trail Running Championships held in Spain.
Eden, who runs with Deeside AAC, joined fellow Welsh athletes Lizzie Richardson (Highland Hill Harriers) and Kris Jones (Swansea Harriers) as part of the GB squad, competing against the best uphill mountain runners from around the globe.
Running in the Under-23 women’s uphill race, Eden tackled an unforgiving 6.5km course with 986m of vertical climb. Against a world-class field of 114 finishers, she crossed the line in 39th place…an incredible achievement, and a reflection of the hard work, discipline, and mental toughness that Eden brings not only to her sport but to everything she does.
The GB team finished 7th overall, with Italy taking gold, and it was an honour to see Eden standing tall among such elite competition. Her performance was a true inspiration, especially to those of us who get out of breath climbing the stairs up into the office!
“It was a challenging course, but such an unforgettable experience. Representing GB was a dream come true,” Eden said.
Eden’s drive, commitment and grit are qualities we see every day at Fleetview. She’s not just smashing mountains.

She’s a huge part of our engine room, and we’re lucky to have her.
Please join us in congratulating Eden on this amazing milestone. We’re cheering you on every step (and climb) of the way!
